Referring a Young Person
SAYiT’s supports anyone aged 8-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is questioning their gender and/or sexuality.
If you are a young person looking for support you can directly refer yourself. You will be asked to select a welcome meeting to attend, to see if joining SAYiT will be the right fit for you.
If you are a professional working with a young person who you think may need support around their gender and or sexuality, then you must complete this form.
For referrals of 8-10 year olds, please call or email us: 0114 201 2633 / info@sayit.org.uk
Please note that we are not a statutory service and do not provide specialist mental health support. If you are referring a young person who has mental health concerns, we request that you do not 'close' your work with them until the point they are both receiving regular support from us and you have assessed a positive change to the point that they no longer require statutory services. In the majority of cases, we expect to work as an 'add on' to CAMHS/mental health services rather than a substitute. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.
We do not offer a drop in service.
