34 – 37.5 hours per week
Salary £35,000 – £37,000 WTE [NJC point 32-34]
Pension contribution 7%
[Fixed term 12 months – continued post dependent on funding]
SAYiT is a Sheffield-based charity working with young people and professionals to make real lives better. We’re looking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to build on our successes to date and lead the charity in its pioneering work transforming the lives of LGBT+ young people and young people affected by HIV.
This is an opportunity to join a passionate, dedicated team working to make positive change across Sheffield’s communities and the wider region.
As the charity’s most senior employee, the CEO will be responsible for the successful delivery of the charity’s work. She/he/they will report to the Board of Trustees and work with them to shape the strategic direction of the charity in supporting LGBT+ young people and young people affected by HIV.
The successful candidate will bring extensive management and leadership experience to the role, overseeing a skilled team of project and development workers and volunteers. A gifted communicator, she/he/they will be responsible for fostering strong relationships and growing advocacy amongst a wide range of key stakeholders and the wider public. She/he/they will be an experienced fundraiser and with a strong track record of effective financial management and monitoring who will build on our strong financial foundations.
The successful candidate will bring with them a sophisticated awareness and understanding of the key issues and challenges faced by the groups SAYiT serves and the wider LGBT+ community.
SAYiT is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
